Economically booming Guangdong Province imported 56 planes in the first three quarters of this year, a growth of 110 percent year-on-year.

Local customs sources said arrivals were valued at 2.16 billion U.S. dollars, up 60 percent. They included 42 leased planes, up 150 percent, and 14 purchases, up 40 percent.

Twenty-three of the planes were imported from France, up 43.8 percent, and 20 from the United States, up 81.8 percent, the sources said.
