GENERAL Electric Co, a global infrastructure, finance and media company, has launched its China Technology Park in Shanghai to strengthen services to local customers and partners.

An expansion of existing facilities, the CTP in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park brings together all GE business groups in Shanghai with a total of 3,000 employees on the site. "China is our global priority. We will continue to expand our operations in China and make China the second home for GE," Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt said at an opening ceremony. He added GE is spending more in China's western areas, heeding the central government's call.
