EMIRATES airline officials say its first flight of the Airbus A380 aircraft will be to New York on August 1. A spokesman for the Dubai-based carrier says the first of Emirates' 58 superjumbos on order is expected to arrive in the Gulf city-state on July 29.

Emirates is Airbus' largest customer for the A380.
