Hong Kong, China, 3 June – The Dah Chong Hong company has signed a letter of intent with the Brasil Foods group to set up a partnership to operate in the markets of Hong Kong, Macau and China, said Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited in a statement published on its website.

The letter of intent was signed in Beijing during a seminar for businesspeople from Brazil and China and the future partners plan to set up a production and supply chain for food products in the three markets.

Dah Chong Hong, which recently announced plans to expand its food business, will be the exclusive distributor of Sadia products, which is Brasil Food’s most valuable brand, in the Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese markets.

The Sadia brand includes frozen and refrigerated foods as well as margarine and milk-based products.

The Brasil Foods group is the world biggest exporter of chicken meat, one of the world’s largest food groups by market capitalisation and is one of Brazil’s biggest milk buyers and processors. Dah Chong Hong is one of the biggest distributors of cars, food and consumer products in China.
