Telefónica is seeking to reposition its multinational managed services business as a tier-one provider. The business announced a number of new multinational services capabilities and a new set of ICT convergent services which will support its global IP communications strategy. In addition, the business provided details of its next-generation enterprise services platform. Richard Mahony provides his perspective on the robustness of the multinational services proposition. He concludes that whilst Telefónica faces some significant challenges to elevating its status amongst multinational corporations (MNCs), some CIOs should invite it to bid for multinational managed services.
