内容介绍

Most skin disorders are not fatal but most people are affected globally. The revenue of dermatological market in 2006 was $16bn, which is a 5.1% when compared with 2003. The common skin disorders include acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, urticaria and hair loss. Due to the aesthetic awareness increases in Western countries, botulinum toxin and other cosmetic treatments become more and more popular.

The treatment of dermatological disorders are often a cause for concern. Users are keen to benefit from the treatments, often to the point were they overlook possible health concerns. In 2006 September, the FDA launched the iPledge program to prevent birth defects caused by use of isotretinoin during pregnancies. In addition, Roaccutane, an isotretinoin agent for acne, might disrupts serotonin to cause a range of aggression, anger and sleep, according to the study from University of Bath in the UK – this is not the first time studies have shown Roaccutane to be dangerous to some.

This skin disorder report contains:

* The prevalence of skin disorder and the number of cosmetic procedures: It includes the prevalence in the seven major markets.

* The current treatments and future potential treatments as well as drug delivery  technologies.

* Current market analysis, including topical and systemic dermatological treatments. The analysis contains the strategic analysis of sales performance, market share and sales forecast to 2012, 2017 and 2022

* Key players analysis, including the analysis of the product portfolio, R&D and

  the analyses of strategies.

* Porter-Five-Forces Analysis and SWOT analysis to offer the understanding of the strategic issues will impact on dermatological market
