2010-2015年美国壁板市场预测报告
NEW US industry forecasts to 2010 & 2015 Siding
Study # 2096 September 2006 $4400
Siding Demandby Material, 2005(116.7 million squares) Nonresidential building markets to pace US siding demand through 2010 Demand for siding is expected to remain unchanged in the aggregate through 2010 at 116.7 million squares. However, growth opportunities, particularly with respect to markets, will change markedly from the patterns exhibited from 2000 to 2005. During that time, gains were concentrated in residential building, reflecting a strong housing market; while consumption in nonresidential markets suffered from a severe cyclical downturn in office, commercial and industrial building activity. Going forward, these positions will reverse, as new housing construction contracts and nonresidential building rebounds from its cyclical low. Decline in new housing construction to affect vinyl siding demand Changes will also be apparent within the various product categories. For example, vinyl siding will maintain its position as the most widely used siding material. However, demand will contract slightly through 2010, reflecting the decline in new housing construction, which is the primary outlet for this type of siding. Metal panels and certain stucco products will also post strong gains, because of their significance in the faster growing nonresidential segment. Fiber cement siding, a relative newcomer, will also continue to record good growth, reflecting increasing consumer and contractor acceptance. South to remain largest regional US market, but Northeast growing fastest On a regional basis, the South will remain the largest geographic market for siding materials, although demand will decline slightly through 2004, reflecting a drop in new housing completions. The fastest growth (still less than one percent annually) will occur in the Northeast region, while consumption in the West and Midwest goes nearly unchanged. Study coverage Siding is a new Freedonia industry study available for $4400. The study presents historical demand data through 2005 plus forecasts to 2010 and 2015 by material, market and region of the US. This study also evaluates company market share and profiles 34 leading industry competitors.
